Upgrade from 2026.1.x to 2026.1.5

What changed: In versions 2026.1.0 to 2026.1.4, Axon Server stored some data in the wrong place when the first tier was configured with a custom location. The following items were created in the default location instead of the custom one:

  • the labelupdates directory

  • the snapshotdb directory

  • the snapshotupdates directory

  • the replicationheadstore.bin file

Starting with 2026.1.5, these are created in the correct custom location.

What you need to do: If your first tier uses a custom location, move the existing data before starting the new version:

  • Stop the Axon Server node.

  • Check the default location for the items listed above. If any exist there, move them to your custom location.

  • Start the Axon Server node with version 2026.1.5.

No action needed: If your first tier uses the default location, you can upgrade without any extra steps.
